Ten terror suspects under interim control orders (UK)
Home secretary Charles Clarke has signed ten new interim control orders just hours after they became law under the Prevention of Terrorism Act.

The orders replace bail conditions, such as curfews and electronic tagging, imposed on the men and came into law following a gruelling 30-hour parliamentary debate.

The foreign terror suspects will continue to be closely controlled, including being tagged and having to obey a curfew. In some cases suspects will also be under house arrest.

Nine of the ten men were released from custody on Thursday and Friday, five from Belmarsh prison. <snip>
