U.S. soldier killed by roadside bomb in Iraq

BAGHDAD, March 17 (Reuters) - A U.S. soldier has been killed by a roadside bomb south of Baghdad, the U.S. military said on Thursday.

The military said in a statement the soldier belonged to the 1st Corps Support Command and that the incident occurred on Wednesday.

if we've heard the real death toll? After all most military posts are in Jesusland and the locals aren't too likely to question the Wisdom from DC. I bet it'd be pretty easy to leave some of the body count out without anyone getting too suspicious.
