An appointee of Mayor Anthony A. Williams who headed the city's gay and lesbian affairs office was found slain late yesterday in her Northeast Washington home, police said, stunning city officials, activists and friends.

City Administrator Robert C. Bobb, who went to the scene, said that Wanda R. Alston was found inside her home in the 3800 block of East Capitol Street. Police had not officially released the victim's name late last night.

Alston, 45, was found facedown near the front door inside the two-story brick rowhouse just before 6 p.m, police said. They said her silver 2000 Nissan Sentra, with D.C. tags AZ9597, was missing.

Officials said they were trying to determine a motive and a cause of death. "We have not ruled out anything" as to a motive, Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey said late last night. There were no signs of forced entry, but investigators had not ruled out robbery.

Honestly. Imagine news radio referring to a murdered straight woman's husband as her roommate. Can people be any more insensitive, any more offensive? :argh:

So, she was killed between noon and 6 pm, probably earlier rather than later, as her assistant had been attempting to reach her without success.

Broad daylight.

At least the police will find it hard to claim that she committed suicide, but stole her own car beforehand.

I know nothing about NE Washington, DC. Did she live in a suburb or urban area? If her car was stolen (which would be extremely stupid) then the killer walked there? Got a ride somehow?

Unforced entry, she was face down, there was a lot of blood on the scene, and her car is missing. I want more info because right now, it sounds suspicious to me. One has to be pretty damn committed to stealing a car to murder someone in their home in daylight.

Not to say this couldn't have been a hate crime, but there is plenty of crime there.

I don't know if they still have it but the WP has had a weekly report on DC crime and I have posted links here. The murder and car theft/hijacking rates are sky high. Listen for the sirens when Bush speaks from the Rose Garden--usually it's a constant wail.

Now, somebody killed the hitter who knocked off that Liberal Enemy of the State "Activist Judge"'s relatives.

But they only had to do it because, even though she and her relatives were not PARTY Members, but Liberal ERnemies of the State, she was also a Federal Judge and at least making a pretense of "finding the killer" (but not the guys who ordered/paid him, natch, and HE isn't telling any tales) is something the Busheviks or the Nazis couldn;t afford.

But with this murder, they'll just tank the investigation like the Bushevik Anthrax Mailer. No show needs to be put on here.

When more and more Bushevik Strumtruppen begin to realize that killing a Liberal Enemy of the State is consequenceless, and as our Law Enforcement is Bushevikized back to 1930s Mississippi (and all of the Liberal Enemies of the State as the Uppity Negroes), this will just get worse and worse, I think.

Watch for it. Arm yourselves. Because with a deacde or two, perhaps much sooner, the Freepers and other Sturmtruppen are going to start living their sick fucking fantasies which they are so often keen to share regarding the future random murder of liberals now that they can get away with it like a Klansmen in 1930s Mississippi.

And the Gays, I think, have leapfrogged the Jews and Black as the Main Target this time around. Poor things. But as Hitler killed homosexuals as a side-gig, so do I think that eventually, whatever form the oppression takes (and it may not be fully murderous, only time will reveal the final shape of it) will be applied to Jews and Blacks as well.

Except those who are PARTY MEMBERS of course. It is only the Enemies of the State who have to worry, like always happens every time Totalitarian seizes a nation.

How about we wait until the DC police complete their investigation? It'll take a while no doubt . . . meantime, whatever you do, don't remove your :tinfoilhat:

My tinfoil hat is in position for the IDENTICAL reasons people in Ferd Marcos Phillipines had theirs on, for the same reason the Russian who did samizdat had theirs on, for the same reason...oh you get the idea.

The only question is what percentage of "tinfoil speculation" in a Totalitarian Nation is true. Clearly not 100% of tinfoil. hell, THAT probably wasn't even true in Nazi Germany.

But the more Totalitarian a nation is, the more "tinfoil conspiracies" turn out to be true. Like it or not, technically (and maybe only "at the top" still) Amerika is now a Totalitarian Nation, even though our lives are for the moment generally untouched by this Dark Shadow.

Once again I lament the Death of the Free Press and the System of Checks and Balances that makes the "Samizdat" (Google the term if you haven't heard of it before) speculation necessary and plausible.

Trust me, in the Old America, even in the last days with it's semi-functional Free Press, I NEVER thought this way.

I don't want to think this way. I don't like it. But it is warranted. And I have read too much history of nations off too many peoples who failed to understand when a nation had crossed that threshold from Free to Totalitarian, which in my opinion by definition means that "conspiracy theories" are much more likely to be true.

But I refuse to not. And if I am guilty of being overzealous, so be it.

Maybe if Amerika is ever free again, with a Free Press in my lifetime (as unlikely as that seems) I will happily reverse my modes of thought to be commensurate with that.

You aren't delusional nor being sensationalistic in your opinion about the wetwork, I saw this back in 1969-it's very real.

Ethical law-enforcement has been held back for a long, long time in prosecuting those guilty of political wetwork, so I wouldn't put all my faith in the uncorrupted of DC police.

What does the DC GLBT community know about JG/JG? Wouldn't Wanda Alston have been one who might be looking into that mystery? Wouldn't the GLBT community also have a few tales to tell about the midnight callboys?

I am only asking the question, not making an accusation, but whenever someone is murdered in such a gruesome fashion, the questions must be asked.
