Bush Invites Sharon to Texas Ranch - Sources
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush has invited Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for the first time to his Crawford, Texas, ranch for talks on April 11 on boosting the Middle East peace process, U.S. government sources said on Thursday.

It will be Sharon's first visit to Bush's ranch after nearly 10 visits to the White House since taking office in 2001. Israeli officials said earlier this month that the meeting would take place in Washington.

The surprise change in venue can be seen as a move designed to bolster Bush's close ally, and comes at a time of growing optimism about jump-starting peace talks after the death of Palestinian president Yasser Arafat last November.

1. They can sit on the porch and finalize the Iran strike plans.
Understand the desert skies over Bashehr are clear and lovely in June. Bet they pick a moonless night. Almanac out there, anyone?

14. Sharon must be a cowboy
When Bush went to Europe, he was asked whether he would ever invite Chirac to his Texas Ranch (he has never invited him, even before the hostility over Iraq). His answer was that he could always use another cowboy (an artless attempt to insult Chirac). It's interesting to note that Jacques Chirac was the very first leader in the world (even before Blair) to visit the scene of the former World Trade Center immediately after 911, and Bush barely acknowledged his visit.

Has Sharon even once visited the site of the former Twin Towers? Anyone out there know?

18. Sharon's more a cowboy than Dubya
He's a big cattle farmer. See this link, for example: http://www.medea.be/?page=0〈=en&idx=0&doc=275

His politics are evil, but he's not a poseur, like Bush.
