Bulgaria to Pull Out of Iraq: Official

SOFIA (bnn)- Bulgaria will gradually withdraw its troops from Iraq by the end of this year, Minister of Defense Nikolay Svinarov said Thursday.

Svinarov said the government would submit a draft decision about the pullout of the 450-strong light infantry battalion to parliament by the end of this month.

“The document is still being drafted in the Defense Council with the Ministry of Defense,” Svinarov said.
