ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (Reuters) - A U.S. federal judge ordered a hearing on Monday afternoon to consider a request to have feeding resumed for Terri Schiavo, the severely brain-damaged Florida woman at the heart of a politically charged right-to-die case.

U.S. District Judge James Whittemore announced the 3 p.m. hearing hours after a lawyer for Schiavo's parents filed a request with the court in Tampa, Florida, for the resumption of feeding for the 41-year-old woman, whose feeding tube was removed on a Florida state court's order on Friday."

It says there is a hearing on a restraining order. That means that no decision will be made until 3:00 PM at which time a judge MAY decide the tube gets reinserted.

The judge in the case is a Clinton appointee, so one hopes has a brain and a heart. That would mean that he'll do the right thing--say :wtf: and void the fucking law on the spot.

Poor Terry Schiavo--I only hope that she is truly TRULY unable to comprehend or experience any of this. Otherwise her passing out of this world will be surrounded by hatred, hypocrisy, and outright insanity. That would bode ill for her next incarnation, and heaven knows she deserves better next time around than she's gotten this time.
