1. 26% of us are stupid enough to sign up for something that doesn't work.
That's depressing.

Probably the same people who get sucked into banking and investment scams.

2. well, I heard that around 20% of Canadians like Bush ...
... so they've either fallen for his folksy act, or they just trust people who pretend they know what they're doing (that deference to authority thing).

And I know that even on a good day, one can count on at least 5% of the population just not paying attention.

So I'm not too surprised by this. I did notice that Rick Mercer (who originally came out in favour of BMD and seemed to be pretty serious about it) hasn't criticized this particular decision of Martin's.

3. I remember the Rick Mercer rant
But it wasn't specifically about BMD, was it?

4. I still say we should never sign on so that the innu can sue somebody's
ass when the nukes get blown up 80,000 feet above Baffin Island. And it should be someone outside of Canada who gets sued. We know Korea (or whoever sent the missile) will be over with at that point. I think the military industrial complex needs to invest in jambonies because they will be cleaning up the North for every single bomb they explode there.

I do recal a rant of Mercer's but again.. it is vague.
