UPI Hears: Insider notes from United Press International
Despite U.S. and allied forces being in control of both Iraq and Afghanistan, southern Iraq is being poisoned by a steady flow of Afghan narcotics from Iran.

According to the Director-General for Health in the Southern Regions of Iraq, Dr. Falah al-Numhna, one in three Iraqis aged 18-30 in southern Iraq is now a drug addict. Al-Numhna said, "We have recorded numerous cases of deaths as a result of those drugs that have been brought into Iraq, and continue to come in every day in full view of both the U.S. forces and their Iraqi puppet troops."

2. Another very underreported story...
is the massive drug addiction problem in Iran also. A huge percentage of the male population is hooked on heroin that comes in from Afghanistan.
