Republican and Democrat lambast the entire Bush administration.

Their ass is sticking out big time on this one. Of course Bush knew the statement was false. There's no way around it.

It's even more ridiculous of them to assert that the 16 words got in by accident. Bush told us Saddam was building an atomic bomb. He'd have to be a zombie not to have noticed such an electifying statement! But he left it in, because the threat of a mushroom cloud over America brought Congressional skeptics on board with his Iraq plans.

They got their war but now they are stuck for an excuse for the lie Bush told. Maybe they're hoping his political popularity will outlast the storm. But now there's no reason to believe anything Bush says. His stories just get lamer. His people ought to be embarrassed.
