10,000 police to guard VIPs and pilgrims
http://www.guardian.co.uk/pope/story/0,12272,1452169,00.html

>>>>snip
Speculation grew yesterday that Mr Bush would invite his father, the first President Bush, as well as his brother and governor of Florida, Jeb Bush, who is a convert to Catholicism. The former president Bill Clinton might also be asked to attend.

The US delegation will form part of the largest influx of visitors to Rome in modern times. As many as 2 million pilgrims are expected to arrive to pay their respects along with 200 heads of state.

In response to the Vatican's request to the Italian authorities to refrain from militarising the area, spot searches and hand-held metal detectors will be used instead of the fixed detectors in the square.

Should prove to be interesting for the chimpy--after all--not sure if he will be allowed his own entourage.

1. Bush rules the world...he doesn't move without his nazified police and
his militarized helicopters, tanks, steeled limousine, etc. He has no right imposing his stupid his nazified entourage on the people who so openly grieve for JPII's death and celebrate his life.

5. i think they've already started putting up barricared and increasing the
number of police presence around the vatican. i wonder if they are starting all of that in advance to the chimperor's presence so as to disguise the fact that they are doing it BECAUSE of his presence.

while that pope was alive, i don't recall seeing any barricades at the st. peter's square on any of the massess that the pope held there, nor on any of the travels that he took around the city.

3. This is just to prove how religious * really is, what a joke he is making
of the death of JP who did not even think much of the chimper.
If the pope could say so, he would probably tell * to just stay home.
