Washington Post Amid all of the fanfare and rushing about during its annual convention, which ended with last night's Washington Convention Center gala, there was something constantly humming during Congressional Black Caucus week. It was a determination among its leaders to express their patriotism while continuing to raise the volume of criticism about the engagement in Iraq.
The point was brought home last night as New York congressman Charles Rangel, with Democratic presidential candidate Wesley Clark standing beside him outside the gala hall, spoke fondly of Clark's military career and candidacy. ---
"The upcoming election," Rangel said on the eve of the convention, "is going to be about three things: war, war and war."
Throughout the convention there was an antiwar groove hanging in the air. ---
Je suis desole que mon president soit un idiot.
Je n'ai vote pour lui.
