Bush 'not sexy'

He may be leader of the free world and Time magazine's "Person of the Year," but a new international survey of women makes certain that US President George W Bush is far from being the sexiest man alive.

In a recent online poll conducted by Esquire magazine, 11,000 women in 15 countries were asked to rate Bush's sex appeal on a scale of one to 10, and America's commander-in-chief failed to register much more than a two.

Women in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands were the harshest judges of George W.'s sexual allure, giving him an average rating of 1.4 each, Esquire said in its survey released earlier this week.

By contrast, Indonesian women were the most generous, giving Bush an average score of 2.2; American women found their president slightly less appealing, rating him a 2.1

Well he actually might be seen as sexier in DC just due to his role and power as an aphrodisiac. Even fat, ugly and creepy politicians can get their groupies.

Bush always reminded me of the kind of guy I would avoid at parties, a slimy superficial creepy false charm.

Clinton would definitely come out on the other end of that scale. Evidently especially in person. Some female friends were just agog after seeing him when he was here and couldn't get over his charisma, even those who already really liked him were surprised by the power of his energy. It wasn't a surprise they all thought he was sexy but the funny part was that the men all agreed.

if one considers the number of rumored Gays around Bush. Of course rumors are just that, but if we assume for the sake of argument that all the rumors are true, then a short list would look something like:

Continuing with our assumption, one might conclude that there is a network of closeted Gay Repubs that are active in the Republican party. A clean and tidy explanation for the close associations with Bush would be Karl Rove.

I saw him in person at a campaign rally in '92 and I definitely concur with that assessment. He seems to radiate energy...you can sense it even from a distance.

Wonder what the ages were of the women surveyed? Plenty of young women would think any guy in his late 50s, 60s, whatever, were complete duds. So it would be particularly delicious if the surveyed group were drooling over other guys in the same bracket, say Clinton, or Clark or Dean.

BTW, the reason bush scores so low is that he has squinty, dishonest eyes. If someone were shown a picture of him and didn't know who he was or what he's done, they still would not find him sexy. Sexy can be a whole lot of things. Physically unattractive men can be sexy because they truly adore women and are very funny and sweet. Sweet and funny go a long way to making a man sexy. Being intelligent and a nice guy and sweet and honest and funny are very sexy. Peter Dinklage, a little person who is an actor and probably not four feet tall, is one of the sexiest men around...he's extremely funny and sweet and not impressed with himself. It's even hard to pinpoint what's sexy...you know when you know. You know when you find it.
