2. Geez, they really tried hard, didn't they?
They gave it all of what, a week? Tony is getting to be about as popular as Guy Faulks. We may see Blair burned in effigy at a major holiday.

3. Watched Parliment...
last night and the members representing the areas where these British prisoners lived strongly confronted Blair with demand that the men be returned to the UK to be tried there. Blair said he would pursue it - but he seemed wishy-washy. Kept mumbling that they should be tried in an acceptably legal court. Utter nonsense...what's Bush got on him? I still think maybe the Bushies are holding out a Carlyle *carrot* to old Tony.

4. What legal barriers are they talking about?
Those prisoners are being held in legal limbo, in violation of the Geneva Convention!

What is clear is that Blair has turned the UK into a satellite state of the American empire. British troops have died, and will die, because Blair chose Bush over Britain.

7. That's unfortunate.
If British citizens can't have an open trial, I hold out no hope that people from other countries can.

8. So Blair and Blunket officially declare that
they have no confidence in British judicial system and give a shit about British citizens. I'm sorry, but that's worse than even any tory governement could do and accept, and that is plenty said. These guys are truly traitors, who do they represent? Not their voters anymore, so throw them traitors in the Tower, hang'em and behead them!

12. Sorry, I know what you are feeling
I feel that UK citizens are by EU law entitled to equal protection and rights with all other EU citizens. In my mind you are my compatriots, and the person whose name I will spare you absolutely makes me MAD!!!

And I'm not alone!!!

14. I know how you feel hussar
I grew up in Sheffield when he was running the local council. Thanks to Blunkett we have had numerous pork projects such as the 1991 world student games and all that his loony schemes ever did was lose shitloads of money. Sheffielders are still paying of the debts for his white elephant projects today I belive. :grr:

Of course he buggered off to Westminster before the shit hit the fan and now he is running British justice into the ground. Remember that Blunkett got the Home Secretary gig because he promised Blair that he would "make Jack Straw look like a liberal". He has no interest in looking after British justice, as can be seen from his policies on immigration & restricting trial by jury to name but two.

13. This is unforgivable insult against all EU-citizens
I would have thought those unmentionable ones would have had even shred of decency left.

Bring all Guantanamo gulag prisoners home at once, by force if needed. If US threatens to invade Hague because of ICC we are zillion times more justified to free our citizens from Quantanamo consentration camp by what ever means neaded.

I'm more mad than ever, not at US governement, they are beyond redemption, but at traitors in our midst.

15. What more proof is needed...
...that thanks to Blair's poodling we now have zero influence over our main ally (The US) despite having a government that bends over unquestioningly whenever $hrubya asks.

If you want to protect your own countries interests you have to stand up for those interests, even if that does mean treading on the PNAC's toes.

Come to think of it.......most particularly if it involves treading on the PNAC's toes!
