Second US soldier killed 10/1 (not the female soldier in Tikrit)
This according to a CENTCOM press release. It hasn't hit the news yet, as far as I can tell, so i apologize for the headline, which is meant to clarify and distinguish.

ONE SOLDIER KILLED, ONE WOUNDED DURING NIGHTTIME ATTACK

BAGHDAD, Iraq – A 1st Armored Division soldier was killed and another wounded following an attack in the Al Mansour neighborhood at approximately 9 p.m. Oct. 1.

The soldiers were patrolling the neighborhood when they were shot with a small-caliber handgun.

1. I told you so
This wouldn't be happening were it not for foolish Bush Administration policy. This is another tragic consequence of failed Bush Administration policy.

3. And of course that's not including the non-combat gunshot death . . .
. . . or the two soldiers who died in the jeep accident and subsequent recovery effort.

Frickin' awful.

Running total of U.S. casualties in IRAQ--updated daily

.

idiot Shrub can get away with this?...for What?--All for money!!
I am OUTRAGED EVERY TIME I hear another one or two or three died--
OUTRAGED!!
This is not what our troops are to be used for--occupying a country that has vast resources-
Forever they will fight for freedom from U.S. occupation--they will never stop- NEVER!-
We have no business there at all- that oil belongs to the Iraqis not the U.S. oil corporations.
