In what is a first for Kentucky politics, a senator has said that he's gay. <snip>

Kentucky State Sen. Ernesto Scorsone publicly announced that he is gay on Tuesday in Louisville, saying his sexual orientation is unrelated to his job as senator.

25. I would've bet on McConnell

I lived in Louisville for almost 20 years, starting back when McConnell (a/k/a Howdy Doody -- tell the truth, doesn't he look like Howdy Doody????) was Jefferson County Judge Executive. It was commonly discussed, and sworn to by many, that McConnell was gay.

Personally, I wouldn't care whether it was McConnell or the state senator or whoever. It shouldn't matter. The point is that it WOULD matter to the wingnuts who keep electing McConnell.

Id just like to say that, regardless of what you've heard, we all arent racist non-shoe wearing hicks. You'd be suprised how open kentucky has become. Only the older generation still have their old beliefs intact the strongest. ;)
