Clark, Dean Urge Rush Limbaugh's Firing

WASHINGTON - Two Democratic presidential candidates urged ESPN to fire conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh on Wednesday for saying the media wanted Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb to succeed because he is black.

Yep, this and drug abuse - its all just gonna pry the attention away from traitorgate

3. That is why Rush agrees to go along with it...
...he will not lose his radio show- he has said MUCH worse things on his regular show.

If he is not willing "in on it" with the RNC, then they are blackmailing him for his various gay affairs. Drudge too.

4. You Do Realize
that if he gets fired in the midst of all this hoopla he becomes a martyr. I say let him stay. Let him stick his foot in it every freakin' Sunday in ESPN for the entire football season. Again and again and again. The more light on this subject the better.

6. I want him fired for the ESPN crap
that just wasn't right and he has made racism seem acceptable to the near brain dead for far too long.

Then, I want him to go down for the drug abuse. I want him to wind up on the street taking it up the ass for vicadin (sp?) money.

I am afraid, though, that this will distract our ADD/HD media from the real crimes of Bush* Co

8. We all have a right to our opinion
Rush is a big, fat idiot we all know that, it's more than mere speculation, even though he's lost weight he's still a freakin' idiot. Be that as it may however, there still is (I hope) freedom of speech in this country and we need to protect that right for ALL americans, yes even right-wing closet case freaks. So he stuck his foot in his mouth, no biggie. If we demand the right to stand up and state our opinions about this pseudo-administration, we must also be willing to at least accept the unpleasant fact that this pig has a right to his opinion.

9. there's a difference between
having an opinion, being able to speak that opinion, and being paid to speak that opinion on national tv.

He does have a right to speak his mind...we have the same right to question why people and companies are willing to support him and pay him to be an ass.

12. Bullshit. He didn't put his foot in his mouth
he said something he knew would raise a stink and something that is his long held belief.

As for the free speech issue, he can say whatever he wants, but a television network doesn't have to employ his racist ass. That is, if they give a fuck.

10. You're right
You've got a point there Forkboy, I'm merely suggesting that I don't think he should be fired simply for being a Neanderthal. This is only my opinion :)

13. Kudos for Dean and Clark.
This will be a good test to see who is and who is not afraid of Rush's racist, sexist, homophobic, classist microphone.

16. This isn't the first time Dean has mentioned Limbaugh--
I'm so glad that this sort of thing is going forward. Since Reagan, this kind of thing has been legal, and it's part of what is contributing to the extreme polarization in politics today.
