399k New Unemployed this week alone

According to CBS News, "The number of workers seeking unemployment insurance for the first time rose 13,000" last week. It was only 383,000 the previous week.

Heloooo, "recovery".

God I can't wait to get rid of them. I'm sure 399,000 recently unemployed people feel the same.

And where are the figures of those who dropped off the rolls because their eligibility is used up?

4. This is the second 399,000 figure in three weeks.

I think when it's very close to 400,000, they fudge the number. What is really surprising is there was not upward revision of last weeks numbers. Tomorrow jobs report should be interesting.

5. News radio spin I heard yesterday!

"Number of NEW UNEMPLOYMENT claims rose by it's lowest level in three years. 13,000 fewer new claims this week than last!" All spoken in a breathless, excited voice. SMALLER rise in NEW unemployment claims! Are we bottomed out yet?
