Minnesota Republican Chairman Indicted

The Associated Press

MINNEAPOLIS --
The head of the Minnesota Republican Party has been indicted by a grand jury for an alleged improper corporate campaign contribution, his lawyer said.

Chairman Ron Eibensteiner was charged with four gross misdemeanor criminal counts, his lawyer, Bill Mauzy, said Thursday.

Mauzy said there was no basis for the indictment and that he would move immediately to have the charges dismissed. "There is no crime here," he said. "We have a runaway grand jury."

Eibensteiner called the indictment "preposterous."

1. The repugs will brush this off,
but let's hope some independent voters start to smell the evil stink. This together with all the bad news for Bush* makes me hopeful. However, I know the American sheeple's ability to misunderstand and rationalize, and I also know how bad news for repugs tends to backfire. I expect the sheeple to support the bad guy because it looks like he's being picked on. When it's a Dem being picked on, then they say the repugs are tough. Let's hope this one can play in our favor. The bastards certainly deserve to get hit over the head for their money schemes and dirty tricks.

2. I don't know Ebeneezar that well
But I have a friend that grew up with him and will get a kick out of this. Ebeneezar is what Jesse the Body called him and he couldn't stand him.

4. Here's to getting your hopes EVEN HIGHER: CALL YOUR REPS!
The TOLL FREE Capitol Hill Switchboard numbers are

1 (800) 839 - 5276 - or - 1 (800) 648 - 3516

They'll switch you, for free, to anybody's office on the Hill, House OR Senate.

REMIND 'em of the polls showing a majority of Americans want a special prosecutor!! Try to call AT LEAST ONE rethug. I actually had a pleasant experience phoning the offices of Olympia Snowe and Lincoln Chafee. They tend to be more moderate. Their staffers sounded like relatively gentle souls. I even got a chuckle out of them when I said "as a Democrat, I usually don't fraternize with the enemy, but..."
