ON CNBC NOW- Independent Bernie Sanders,Vt. rips Greenspan
new one.

Congress questioning Greenspan on the Housing situation.
Greenspan says economy doing fine. Sanders tells him he's
out of touch with reality, 3 million people, 10% of workforce
out of work.

1. and most of the 3,000,000 are probably home owners--

with huge Mortages--nobody in the Admin. ever acknowledges that.
A pattern of deception permeates the Bush Administration, and
I firmly believe that the Economic Indicators are tweaked.

10. Greenie borrowing from Bush--'when in doubt use Patriotism--

to win an argument'. Day by day there is less of America.
With this critical level of Deficit--what's going to
happen if Bush starts another war? He'll "play it down"
cause he can't add anyway. Mr. Gentlemen's "C"!

9. He REALLY said that???
Greenspan actually said, as in quotes, that it doesn't matter?

It is very hard to believe he could say such a stupid thing.

5. Bernie was so honest and passionate...
It was wonderful to hear some TRUTH for a change. (I'm always reminded of Jack Nicholson spitting out " .. you can't HANDLE the TRUTH!!!..."

I called Bernie's office to thank him (802-862-0697) and heard from his staffers that they've already gotten alot of grief. So if you heard him, liked it, and can afford the call, please support him on this...

If anyone knows where to look for the text of this exchange (presumably later today) I'd love to get it because it was powerful.

8. Ron Paul (R-TX) and Maxine Waters (D-CA) also...
...had a go at him. Sanders actually accused Greenspan of insulting Michael Castle (R-DE), too. It was a messy, messy hearing.

11. I hate to say it, but Greenie is OLD and not in touch

with the issues that are unique in their complexity. His simple
remedies that have worked in the past won't work this time--and
he knows it.

12. Greenspan really doesn't work for the US govt
The Federal Reserve is a consortium of various banks, including the Queen's bank of England. Interest on T-notes is their profit for printing greenbacks. JFK was known to be considering changing back the ownership to the US govt, but everyone probably knows that already. I'm glad they are giving him hell, but would hope that someone elected to represent us would bring up he doesn't answer to the US population just big money.
