Bush Names Tyco Lawyer As No. 2 at Justice
WASHINGTON - President Bush on Tuesday named Timothy E. Flanigan, a senior lawyer for Tyco International Ltd., to be deputy attorney general, the No. 2 position at the Justice Department.

Flanigan has been Tyco's general counsel for corporate and international law since November 2002. Before that, he was deputy counsel at the White House under Bush.

Tyco, which has about 250,000 employees and $36 billion in annual revenue, makes electronics and medical supplies and owns the ADT home security business. Nominally based in Bermuda, its operations headquarters are in West Windsor, N.J.

1. I'm beginning to see a pattern here...
How to get a high-paying job in the Bush Administration:

1. Be a bigger crook than Bush himself is. Bush has set the bar high, but with perseverance and a moralsectomy, one can achieve this.

2. Send $10 million to the Republican National Committee.

If Manuel Noriega wasn't in jail, he'd be in line to be the deputy director of DEA in charge of kingpin tracking. And why not? He certainly knows how they operate.

http://edition.cnn.com/2002/BUSINESS/asia/09/12/us.tyco/ File all this stuff away, and use sparingly, but to maximum effect. The mantra should be "Corporate-friendly Administration". And keep the phrase "Perp Walk" always in mind.

9. I'm so glad they are restoring integrity to Washington.
At least they are keeping the swindlers and crooks off unemployment.

Where are they going to put Kenny Boy? They probably had Kenny Boy lined up for Sec. of Energy before Enron collapsed, and GWB "forgot" who he was.

I really wish there was a head-exploding emoticon, because that's the best way to describe my reaction to this news.
