Focus on Rush hurts probe
http://www.nydailynews.com/front/story/123818p-111132c.html

Rush Limbaugh is dominating the headlines in a Florida pill-popping probe, but he was never a major target of the investigation, sources said yesterday.
Instead, the prime focuses of the investigation involving Limbaugh are a husband and wife alleged drug-dealing team busted last spring in a probe of low-level dealers and distributors.

But since Limbaugh's former housekeeper spilled the story to the National Enquirer and the case made national headlines, investigators' hopes for more major arrests may be compromised, sources told the Daily News yesterday.

"It's so frustrating," a source close to the investigation said, noting that such intense scrutiny of any investigation makes a covert probe more difficult.

While investigators may try to interview Limbaugh in the coming weeks so that he can give his side of the story, it's questionable as to whether he'll ever be charged, the sources said.

Nice to be living in a dictatorship if you have connections to the dictator.

10. Naturally
I would hate to live in a country were it was impossible to suck up to corrupt unelected officials to get ahead

2. "coming weeks"?
Yes, let's make sure he has plenty of time to remove every shred of evidence and pay off the appropriate witnesses before Jeb's Law enforcement agents "try" to interview him. That way, it's his word against a couple of drug dealers.
Bravo, Mr. Bush, Bravo!

3. contacting all of his sponsors as asking them if they want a junkie repre-
senting their products is the first thing to do. the rest of this story is going to lose impact, but the lingering junkie issue has some real clout.

6. I actually listened to yuck to get some names of his sponsors and
While I was listening I got Autozone, Hotwire, Purdue products with colace as the advertized product, and Thera-Gesic. There are many more but I was only able to listen a short while. I was getting nauseated listening to him say how he had a right say anything he wanted about anyone even if it is racist.

4. arrest him for interfering with an official investigation by being a dist-
raction, or by simply being so big that he blocks their view! 8^)

5. If Rush is a pill-popper, the longer the investigation lasts. . .
it seems the better the chances are he'll eventually be outed, whether in connection with this investigation or for his continued attempts to score illicit drugs. Someone with a habit as ingrained as we're told Rush's is (4,000 some pills in 47 days) can't turn off their desires like a faucet. He'll need more pills, only this time a host of investigators -- police and media -- will be on to him.

I have a suggestion for the Florida po-lees: imagine that Rush Limbaugh is a 19-year-old black male with few assets and act accordingly.

11. Same thing that would happen to a poor 19 year old white kid
Edited on Sun Oct-05-03 07:23 PM by NNN0LHI
Neither of them would see light of day for a long time. Unless they squealed of course. And that may be exactly what Rush is going to do? (or has already been doing?) Squeal like a pig. </insert appropriate portions of the soundtrack from the movie "Deliverance" here>

12. The color issue involved here
Isn't white or black... It's green

Good old american greenback green.

Whereas some poor class black or white person would have to settle for a public defender and be railroaded into a plea.

American Justice. One rule for the poor, one for the rich and another for the muslims
