POW Lynch Expected to Return to West Virginia Home Next Week

ELIZABETH, W.Va. (AP) 7.15.03, 12:00p -- Former Army POW Jessica Lynch is expected to return home to West Virginia next week, a family spokesman said Tuesday.

Lynch, a private first class, is to be released July 22 from Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington and should arrive in Wirt County by midafternoon, family spokesman Randy Coleman said.

The former POW is scheduled to make a brief statement in Elizabeth, then travel by military motorcade to her home in nearby Palestine, about 70 miles north of Charleston. She will not take questions from the media, and will not address specifics of her capture and rescue, Coleman said.

Her mother and father, Greg and Deadra Lynch, will accompany her on a military medical helicopter from Washington to Wirt County. A specific time and location has not been determined, Coleman said.

1. She will not take questions from the media, and will not address specifics
because they won't let her speak. and she wasn't a POW either, so I'm really SICK of them calling her that. The Iraqis saved her life, fer chrissakes.

2. They must be confident that the brainwashing worked
Or she'd be there longer. I feel bad for Pvt. Lynch-all she wanted to do was serve her country, and now she's a political pawn.
