Bomb kills anti-Syria politician (CNN Breaking)
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 02:47 AM by Brundle_Fly
BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) -- George Hawi, a former Communist Party chief who was a harsh critic of Syrian meddling in Lebanese affairs, was killed in a bomb as he rode in his car Tuesday, police said, the second slaying of an anti-Syrian figure this month.

The explosion occurred in the car as it was moving, police officials said.

3. the worst part is
Edited on Tue Jun-21-05 02:57 AM by Brundle_Fly
with all the complete ineptitude and lack of re-organizing of the FBI I keep hearing about, the next Orange alert could be a real alert. We'll never know. There probably will be no alert before a terrorist attack on the country, as these bozos will have done it themselves. Opening up the Iranian, Bin Laden (hiding there), et al. They'll refuse to hand him over and take shots at our troops etc whitewash to expand the war, and increase the recruitment levels.

It really concerns me to see how cavalier they are being with everything that is going wrong for themselves... something is up.

and were the bait.

6. Don't forget the threats against Hugo Chavez, and Cuba's government.

I'm convinced Bush intends to spill Latin American blood.

He'll do it in a heartbeat if he can devise a means to get it done.

He's true scum, just like the two Republicans before him, and Nixon.

9. If it's possible Bush can make Haiti more like a living hell, he'd do it.
It was a nightmare seeing his plan to harm Haitians moving into sight with the knowledge there was NO WAY TO STOP HIM. We all knew what the unpardonable sins he was committing would do to Haiti.

He simply wanted to have the last word there. He wanted to show he was powerful enough to undo what Clinton had done in returning the lawfully elected, beloved leader Aristide to his proper office.

Putting sweatshop owners and their hired assassins back in control, reversing the actions of an American Democratic President, and all done at the unbearable, murderous expense of a multitude of scarred and battered people who deserved so much relief after decades of U.S.-approved beastly dictators PapaDoc and son Duvalier.

It almost makes you gag realizing how much evil Bush has spread throughout the world already. I know he intends to do more, if he can.

He's an idle, silly man. Too bad he has infested the White House and actually can destroy people's lives.

8. No.
The annointed leader of all Lebanese except those damned shiites is Harari, the son of the guy we blew up a few months ago.

11. Thank you
the Communist party in Lenanon was never anti-Syria, but they sure don't need communists in Lebanon at this time. Syrians must be allergic to rice...everytime she shows up in the area, people there are suddenly killed.

12. Hmmm, wonder if the Lebonese think the world is safer without Saddam?
I think the world would be a lot safer without the interference of the US in such an unbalanced and dishonest way.

13. A former Communist Party chief could have lots of enemies
Far more than just Syria. For example, almost any religious group would have problems with a communist. And the CIA used to have some sort of grudge with communists, if I recall correctly. In fact, if the CIA did this, it would be a two for the price of one deal - kill a communist and create anti-Syrian propaganda at the same time.
