Weekend rallies already troubled (Neo-Nazis at Yorktown Battlefield)

YORKTOWN -- As neo-Nazis hold a demonstration Saturday at Yorktown Battlefield, two other groups will protest in two very different ways.

Congregation Zion's Sake, a messianic synagogue whose members believe that Jesus Christ is the messiah, will lead prayers only 200 yards from the neo-Nazis.

Almost a mile north, the Center for Education Rights will hold the "Rally for Social Justice," an outdoor music festival with singers, poets and speakers. The protest leaders disagree on what is the appropriate response to the National Socialist Movement, known as America's Nazi Party.

"Nothing good can come of it," said CER president Phil Stinson of the messianic synagogue's counter-rally. "The NSM will think they've accomplished something if they have people there yelling in their faces."

Very troubling that this is going on in my town. I hope all the DUers
in the area will come out for the protest.

You're probably thinking of William Pierce, the guy who wrote "The Turner Diaries." He died a while back. Since his death, the National Alliance has been in disarray. I believe Kevin Alford Strom may be running it now. I don't exactly get the newsletters.

There are some well-educated neo-Nazis. Pierce used to teach physics at the university level in Colorado. No, not at the Air Force Academy.

The rally is supposed to honor George Washington... The nazis think he would agree with their ideals.
