that as obsessed with CONTROL as the neo-cons are, Iraq is not
New Jersey, and "mind control" is a joke. The Iraqi people are
passionate in their beliefs and can/will think for themselves.
The neocons have so blown up Saddam's image as the ultimate Badman
that it has become ludicrous! The fact is-- that Saddam Hussein was
perfectly happy ruling over his Kingdom, and had no grand ambitions
of World dominance--leaving that to the Bonesmen in the Bush
Administration. Saddam's neighbors tolerated him, and as can be
seen by the current chaotic situation in Iraq, it took an iron
fist to keep the factions in line. To be sure, Saddam was no Saint,
but then what World leader is? As much as Americans deslike GWB,
we would remember the best of him if forces took over our country
and try to portray him as the Devil.

Extreme views emanate from an extreme Administration, itself in
chaos. The World would be better off, if it got back to representing
the views of all Americans who love this country for what it has
always been--a Beacon of Hope for the World--not its pariah.

But the US civilian administrator of Iraq, Paul Bremer, views it as a dangerous socialist anachronism.
