FBI Whistle-Blower to Run for Congress (Coleen Rowley)
Edited on Wed Jun-29-05 07:44 AM by trof
By FREDERIC J. FROMMER, Associated Press WriterTue Jun 28, 5:01 PM ET

Former FBI whistle-blower Coleen Rowley (now retired) will run for Congress as a Democrat in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District, where she hopes to knock off GOP Rep. John Kline (news, bio, voting record).

"I'm concerned about the direction of the country," Rowley said in a telephone interview Tuesday. "We have done things that have made us less safe, among them the Iraq invasion and the loss of our allies and the moral high ground in international affairs." Rowley, 50, was named one of Time magazine's Persons of the Year for 2002 after writing a critical memo on FBI intelligence failures.

She had sought a seat this year on the new Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, designed to ensure that government actions in the war on terror do not infringe on people's rights. But when President Bush appointed members of the board earlier this month, Rowley's name was not on the list. She said that was a factor in deciding to run for Congress.

but watch her be targeted by the DLC.

What Coleen Rowley has to say falls beyond the parameters of respectable discourse as defined by the consensus reality of both the Republican and the Democratic establishments.

4. Her running is a form of revolution.
Just as it is her duty to run for office, it is our duty to support her. She had been vilified by the establishment. Denounced, by some, for her disloyalty to the apparatus. She sounds like MY kind of candidate. By that token, I am willing to put my money where my mouth is.

5. Bush had reports like hers ignored
She reported to her superiors, people were being instructed how to fly planes, not landing , taking off.

The FAA warned the State Dept....it was stopped too..

2 hijackers were allowed in to enter the U.S.knowingly by the FBI despite their being " suspicious".

Bush allowed 9-11 to happen, or was involved in it.This stinks to high heaven.
