Revitalizing Iraqi oil, gas sector will cost 25 billion dollars: Iraqi MP
ISTANBUL (AFX) - Iraq will need an investment of 25 bln usd to renovate its oil
and gas infrastructure, an Iraqi member of parliament told an energy conference
here.

"During the coming five to six years we believe Iraq will need 25 bln usd in
investment for its oil and gas sector," Tamir Abbas Ghadban said.

"This investment can only be made with the help of foreign investors," he said,
noting that Iraq's oil operation has been hampered by sabotage and outdated
equipment.

The country should be in a position to produce 2.5 mln barrels of oil a day by
the end of 2005 and 3 mln barrels by the end of 2006, he said.

the guy in charge of the World Bank said so. I mean he must know what he is talking about, how else would he have attained such a lofty place in the Bush administration?

6. Blackmail by Iraq's Puppet Government. Another similarity to Vietnam.
This is the very same shit that happened in South Vietnam with their ever increasing demand$ which the U.S. taxpayer underwrote.
