Public transportation vehicles ferrying groups of antigovernment demonstrators to rally sites will be impounded for going out of line, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board said Wednesday.
Board chairman Ma. Ellena Bautista warned that out-of-line jeeps will also be fined. <snip>
She said operators who plan to rent out their units to groups participating in protest actions must secure a permit from the board.
"They are free to go on protest or carry demonstrators, but it should be within their assigned route or they have special permits," Bautista said.
