NPR/ATC: McGovern calls for Cheney's resignation
Cheney has his fingerprints all over this war, with all the trips he made to the CIA in the lead up. Now veteran intelligence officials are calling for his scalp!

Analyst: Cheney Pressured CIA on Iraq Arms Intelligence
NPR's Robert Siegel speaks with Ray McGovern, a retired CIA
analyst and member of Veteran Intelligence Professionals for
Sanity (VIPS). McGovern says Vice President Dick Cheney put
pressure on the intelligence community, and in particular, the
CIA, to produce evidence that Saddam Hussein was developing
or had acquired material for making nuclear weapons.

6. We knew about this weeks ago. William Rivers Pitt interviewed him
and that too is a must read. Again.

4. VIPS is starting to move off the web into the mainstream
This is good to see. Dunno why people are so impatient. This scandal is developing very nicely. VIPS on NPR--that's very good. They'll start turning up more on cable and broadcast TV next. This is a big boost to their bona fides as expert commentators. My first reaction a couple of months ago was "are these guys for real?" Lotta fakers out there claiming to be CIA or CIA connected, especially on the internet. They are now acceptable for news directors--"Hey, let's get that guy, whatsisname, that CIA dude, McGovern." No need to do a time-consuming independent credential check--"Dis guy legit?" "He was on NPR last week, boss." "Good, call him up."

Very nice development.
