BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Saddam Hussein has appeared before Iraq's war crimes tribunal on new accusations relating to the oppression of minority Kurds, according to a videotape released by Al Arabiya news channel on Thursday.

"I am detained and this is a game ... I am detained by the Iraqi government appointed by the Americans," he said angrily as he sat across a table from Hadad, who was dressed in a judge's gown.
Saddam's lawyer, Khaleel al-Dulaime, who has appeared with him in other hearings before the tribunal, was present and could be seen on the tape taking notes on a legal pad.
Saddam protested that he had not been allowed to see his lawyer except at hearings and said he had not been told in advance when the hearings would be held.
