House Judiciary Democrats have prepared a 70-page dissent opposing the renewal of the U.S. Patriot and Intelligence Reform Reauthorization Act, RAW STORY has learned.

Unlike some Democratic opposition, those decrying the Patriot Act include a diverse panoply of voices: 389 communities and seven states have passed resolutions opposing parts of the PATRIOT Act, representing over 62 million people, they note.

Groups running the gamut of the political spectrum oppose certain sections of the PATRIOT Act, including the American Civil Liberties Union, American Conservative Union, American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Library Association, Gun Owners of America and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP).

This thing goes to Senate now... this monster of law. In case you did not read how it has been used, let me give you an example from the above article:

Now I don't know what else to do. I am one person. I know we progressives can walk and chew gum at the same time. Rove/Plame/Wilson is important, to be sure, treason is important... this will be law, however, long after Rove is in prison and it will affect us on a daily basis. Mrs. Feinstein had dinner with George Bush recently, and now she is co-sponsoring the reauthorization of the bill.

Please call her office at (877)SOB-USOB, and ask her why she is co-sponsoring legislation that is a blatantly corrupt power grab with Neo conservative origins and is in every right, an illegal piece of legislation?

Why does Mrs. Feinstein feel the need to continue to abuse power and privilege by having the capacity to invade every citizens life in the name of "terrorism" and the Patriot Act?

That is precisely what Mrs. Feinstein is doing by co-sponsoring the bill.

There is simply no other purpose of the Patriot Act but to invalidate the power of the Constitution ,and to have free access and power to violate and invade every American citizen's life without any political or legal recourse.

They are all afraid of that. They believe a police state will be required when full fury of the shitstorm they have wrought reaches their shores.

Those who voted for the patriot act are not afraid for you; they are afraid for themselves.

After all, * doesn't read, and none of his lackeys ever tell him opposing views.

Be safer by letting big brother completely run your miserable scared little life.
