1. I wonder if he was discovered still alive or just wrapped in ice
until a more convenient time for the military to announce his death (after the stories were straight)

Sorry, but if you lie about torture, deny torture in the face of photographic evidence, and then work hard at covering up more torture, your every move is now suspect.

And the military only has itself to blame for that.

2. It's kind of sad that we're at the point
where the first thought is cover-up/abuse. But I'm with you - it was my first thought.

It is sad that we can't trust anything anymore.

It's a damn shame.

(but it can't last forever, right? Keep hope alive...)

3. Would be nice to sue Bush Inc for mental suffering
What that crowd has done to the soul of America is criminal.

It is sad, you're right - after all that's happened, "cover-up" is where my mind goes instantly.

I must still have hope, this morning I posted this:

4. This line really stuck out for me:

My country means too much to me to allow such wrongs to go unpunished.

It's the assholes who call us anti-American who keep me remembering what a great country this SHOULD be and why it worth opposing the traitors and torturers.

Here's to hope!

:toast:

btw - kicked and nominated your thread!

5. I love her so much it hurts
and my hurt comes out as anger...it's the anger that keeps you going- that offers up a buffer from the pain. Today though, the pain of seeing America sink so low has gotten the better of me.
