Man executed for corruption

. .CHINA has executed Li Yushu, the former vice mayor of southwestern Leshan city, after he was found guilty of massive graft charges, state media reported.

Earlier reports said Li had spent a large part of his ill-gotten money on a teenage waitress he had fallen in love with.

China's Communist Party has declared war on graft on a series of occasions, and heavy punishments - including the death penalty - are frequently meted out to offenders.

If 8.9 million dollars is the cut-off for an execution, it would get very bloody around here -- but it certainly would bring balance to our penal system.

the Communist party announced that the launch of a manned spacecraft scheduled for this week won't be televised live. Apparently, they're afraid of failure.

They've been doing a lot of chest puffing about this 40-year-old technology they're trying to discover. As I recall, when the U.S. launched Al Sheppard it shown live.
