Police seize car in hunt for bombers

Police have seized a car in north London in connection with the investigation into last week's attempted bomb attacks in the capital, Scotland Yard said today.
They are examining a car recovered in the Strawberry Vale part of the city, about three-quarters of a mile from the block of flats in New Southgate that anti-terrorist officers raided yesterday.

Meanwhile, the Home Office this afternoon said that both named men being hunted by police for the July 21 attempted bombings arrived in Britain alongside asylum seekers when they were children.

The pair have been legally resident in the UK for more than 10 years and one was awarded a British passport just last September.
