Germans lap up claim that US plotted Sept 11

A former cabinet minister is drawing huge crowds and stoking the fires of anti-Americanism in Germany with a book arguing that the US government mounted the Sept 11 attacks as part of a plot to win global domination.

Andreas von Bülow has gone even further than Michael Meacher, Britain's former environment minister, who claims the US knowingly failed to prevent the attacks.

Von Bülow, 66, believes that Sept 11 was staged to justify the subsequent wars on Afghanistan and Iraq.

"If what I say is right, the whole US government should end up behind bars," he says.

1. stranger things have happened
Nearly every war the U.S. has been involved in for the past 125 years has a 9-11-type beginning, so his theory can't be easily dismissed.

It makes a lot more sense than the Official Story Conspiracy about 9-11.

how many over the world has thought this including ones here in the USA. This does does not bode well. It really makes you sad and sometimes mad to see how all the world was with us at 911 and now they have all been trounced on by Bush.

in English?

You know, I've felt the same, from about 15 minutes after the attack. It just hit me, like a cold knife in the back, and everything I've learned since, seems to confirm those original feelings.

working on the water sprinkler system for this old warehouse where I work when the news reached us that the WTC was gone. He looked right at me and without the slightest hesitation said, "Bush Did It."

I don't know when it started, but he is really a nutjob. You have to see him talk. And the parts of his books I've seen (OK, the selection was not in his favor) are absurd and borderline anti-semitic.

Nor was he ever head of the BND, he was in the parliamentary oversight comitee.
Bülow was deputy minister of defense and minister of research under Schmidt (not at once).

Actually, surprised KKKonrad let that article reach his site even for a minute. He's way tight with the Prince of Darkness himself. In fact, he's even a member of the creepy cult-favorite "Trilateral Group"
