Cheney: Some 'wrongs' righted by redistricting map
Associated Press

FORT WORTH -- Vice President Dick Cheney applauded Texas lawmakers on Thursday, saying they worked on "righting some wrongs" in approving a new redistricting plan that likely will send more Republicans to Congress.

After three special sessions, the Texas Legislature gave final approval Sunday to a new map that could give the GOP seven more seats. Texas Democrats now have a 17-15 majority in the U.S. House, but Republicans said new congressional districts were needed to reflect the state's conservative voting trends.

Speaking at a campaign fund-raising luncheon Thursday, Cheney said the GOP also has been buoyed by recent elections putting more Republicans in office, including California Gov.-elect Arnold Schwarzenegger.

"This is shaping up as a Republican year, and I'm confident that in November 2004 the American people are going to re-elect our president for a job well done," Cheney said.

And the Republicans keep supporting these crooks! :bounce:

1. None of his business anymore
He wanted to be considered a Wyomingian for the 2000 election, and repudiate his Texas residency. Therefore, he should now BUT OUT of Texas politics.

7. Question for all
Have you ever had a manager or boss type try to sell you what you KNEW was a line of bullshit, and you knew that HE knew it was bullshit?

That's what comes to mind when I think of Invisible Dick.

9. Several wrongs need to be corrected regarding Cheney....
Edited on Fri Oct-17-03 02:34 AM by Dover
And the fact that he is still in the WH is the first wrong. The wrong regarding Halliburton is another. Lies regarding intelligence on Iraq is the third.......shall I go on?
