Armed Men Block U.S. Convoy in Lebanon
BEIRUT, Lebanon - Armed men suspected of belonging to Lebanon's militant Hezbollah group prevented a U.S. Embassy convoy from visiting an area bordering Israel on Friday, Lebanese security officials said.

An embassy official confirmed that men blocked the convoy from visiting an area in southern Lebanon, but did not say if they were armed or belonged to Hezbollah, a Shiite Muslim group listed by Washington as a terrorist movement.

In Washington, a State Department official said the United States has formally protested the incident to Lebanon's government and that Lebanese authorities promised an immediate investigation.

The U.S. Embassy official, speaking on condition of anonymity, did not say who was in the convoy or where the incident occurred.

Very scary.

I wonder if they would dare do this before the election.

5. dare to? It's what they live for...
and it just proves that they know that they don't have to worry about the elections, because the fix is in from Diebold and the media will assist with curious poll results. :-(

6. Subtext: How the Media Controls the Masses
An embassy official confirmed that men blocked the convoy from visiting an area in southern Lebanon, but did not say if they were armed or belonged to Hezbollah, a Shiite Muslim group listed by Washington as a terrorist movement.

It is interesting that nothing was said, the "embassy official . . . did not say . . . ," yet the most dire implications are nevertheless made by inserting them into the report. Implications for which, even from the article, there appears to have absolutely no factual basis. Even if there were some suspicion, upon what it is based is never disclosed.

It is the subtext that controls the masses.

7. EXACTLY, Stranger!
Another excellent case in point: Saddam = 9/11. Though it was never said outright, TV viewers made the connection for themselves.
