NYMEX gasoline was down 20 cents on Friday. If it continues to go down or even hold steady when it is traded tomorrow through Friday, it will get reported next Monday.

9. Went down 6 cents here in WI today
From $3.25 to $3.19. Whoopee. I got a feeling it's settled in above $3/gal for awhile.

7. Where is the outrage over this looting?
Somehow looting is different when done from the boardroom, I guess.

11. So *NOW* is it the highest price ever in the USA??
I'm sick of that GOP talking point that if you adjust it for inflation...

12. I believe this is the highest relative price for the US
adjusted for inflation. I seem to recall that it would have to be over $3 to top the previous high (1983?) adjusted for inflation. Curious why this significant break through the $3.00 ceiling is not on the CNN reader board.

13. The inflation adjustment was the GOP's last defense on this price rise
Now they'll put it on Katrina and the oil rigs put out of action, I guess.

20. Maybe we will hear about a "Natural Disaster Index"
To go along with the Consumer Price Index. "After adjusting for the Natural Disaster Index and Consumer Price Index, gas has never been lower."
