ah so Cheney's visit yesterday to Gulf coast was a sucess for Halliburton

3. Davis Baker Act????

The Federal Wage law which determines how wages are paid for Federally Funded Projects is called the Davis-Bacon Act .

Under that act, the Dept of Labor has to file a "WAge Determiniation" for a project which is usually based on prevailing Union Wages and Benefits in the Region and that becomes the standard by which workers are paid....

It sounds to me like he "waived" Davis-Bacon.

Can you say MINIMUM WAGE?
