2. He is an amazing man. He's one of the few people that...
have walked this Earth (in all of his incarnations) that I truly respect.

He doesn't just talk the talk. He is a man of deep integrity, in my opinion.

Think how wonderful America would be if we were all Budhhists.

From the article:
In a message to US President George Bush, His Holiness said the Tibetan people share "the immense suffering and the terrible losses that the victims of this calamity have had to endure and continue to do so".

DO YOU THINK * EEVN KNOWS WHO THE DALAI LAMA IS?

11. Dalai Lama on CNN Larry King Sunday 9pm e.t.
I just heard that HHDL will be on Larry King tomorrow night at 9 pm Eastern Time.

I'll look forward to seeing him.

For those that are going to see him in the upcoming weeks, I'd suggest getting a really good nights sleep the night before. I've been to three of his US teachings and somehow every one of those times I had an enormously hard time staying awake during his teaching. Once I got to go up in a line and go shake his hand; that was awesome.

But listening to his teachings just had an unusual effect of putting me to sleep. I struggled to stay awake through them. I thought it was the fact of him saying something and then it being translated, but I've been to other Tibetan teachers that have to be translated -- that is tedious. But I've stayed awake during other Lamas' talks. This was different.

I've never experienced such a profound inability to stay awake during a talk. And this from someone that I was looking forward to hearing for weeks!

It was a bit odd.

The parts that kept me awake though, were the Q&A sessions. Those were excellent.

Go see HHDL, though. It is an awesome experience.
