Army helicopter down in northwest Iraq
BAGHDAD, Iraq-- An AH-64 Apache helicopter conducted a precautionary landing due to mechanical failure approximately 50 kilometers south of Mosul.

The area is secure.

The incident is currently under investigation and the status of the crew is unknown at this time.
