Bush to crank up message machine on dangers of Iraq withdrawal
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20051002/pl_afp/usiraqbush_051002114154

WASHINGTON (AFP) - President George W. Bush will this week attempt to rally Americans wavering on Iraq, as senior aides warn a quick exit for US troops could sow a deadly harvest of future terror attacks on US soil.

Officials say Bush will give a "significant" speech on Thursday, the latest shot in a volley of addresses on Iraq by top administration figures ahead of a referendum on Iraq's draft constitution on October 15.

Faced with raging violence in Iraq, a US death toll fast approaching 2,000 troops and rising domestic angst over the course of the war, the Bush national security team is telling Americans that now is not the time to quit.

They compare post- Saddam Hussein Iraq to failed-state Afghanistan, an anarchic swamp where terrorism found a home, and Al-Qaeda plotted the September 11 terror attacks in 2001.

Bush aides have argued for months it is better to fight the "terrorists" like Al-Qaeda frontman Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, in Iraq, than on American streets after another devastating terror attack.

4. Yeah, more bullshit ... that'll work
I'm feeling more and more optimistic each day. Do they really think we can't see through this garbage? I mean, the sheeple may be dumb, but they aren't stupid. The only things that Bush has going for him is the lapdog media and the spineless Democrats -- if we keep putting the heat on them, we all might make it through this.

6. That's interesting timing....Kerry is supposed to be giving an Iraq speech
some time in the near future.

He was over in Iraq a month ago on an ontheground fact gathering mission.

BushInc HAS to know that something is up and may be trying to pre-empt it.

vocal, needs to stay on top of this. 12 marines killed yesterday, in Iron Fist, house to house searches. Cindy needs to keep the heat on Bush, and pray that Fitz is working hard.

10. He can try....but it's too late.
There is NOTHING he can say at this point that will save his ass.

The Spin Meisters are desperate. I've read that every time they trot him out, his ratings fall. Imagine the job they must have right now. They want to push him out there, to save the Scheme.

And every time they do, Americans get more disgusted. I expect rioting soon.

16. For a billion dollars a week
the least you would think he could do, would be to maintain law and order? Iraq is not that big a country. There are only 25 million people or so, half of whom are children.

But Bush & Co doesn't want law and order in Iraq. Then they wouldn't have an excuse to stay there.

20. Iraq Anglican heads feared dead
Had the US not invaded Iraq, a lot of people would be alive today that Iraqi society needed.

The longer we stay in Iraq, the more stories like the one below we are going to be reading:

Iraq Anglican heads feared dead

The entire lay leadership of the Anglican church in Iraq is missing and feared dead after being attacked on a dangerous road west of Baghdad.

The five Iraqis were last heard from on 13 September when they reported they had already being attacked travelling on road between Ramadi and Falluja.

Church officials had kept silent about the matter while US forces did checks, but there has been no sign of them.

The Anglicans were returning from a trip to Jordan when they disappeared.

"We have no news of them and fear the worst," Most Reverend Clive Handford, president bishop of the Episcopal Church in Jerusalem and the Middle East, told BBC News.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/4293802.stm

Each day we stay in Iraq, more people will die. Let's ignore Bush and his pro-occupation echo among Democrats and insist on an immediate an unconditional withdrawal from Iraq.

31. Hillary agrees: war, war, war, war!
No number of corpses in Iraq will deter this madman. Not when at the end of the rainbow there lies a pot of oil.

While we're knocking Fearless Leader, let's spare a thought for the elected Democrats who have their head right up his ass.

Bushism didn't happen without help. Replacing Bush with Bush-lite is hardly an improvement.
