Democrats Seek Lobbying Curbs

Democratic Senators will call today for tighter restrictions on government employees who become lobbyists, recommending the revocation of floor privileges for former Senators working on K Street and a lengthening of the current one-year “cooling off” period.

6. Best way for the Democrats to regain the majority in Congress:
Become the party that advocates banning all special interest money on Capitol Hill. How many people are going to say to themselves, "I won't vote for the Democrats - they won't take special interest money"? This is only a winning issue.
