(Propaganda Alert) NYT: Blair Implicates Iran in Iraqi Bomb Attacks on Bri
Blair Implicates Iran in Iraqi Bomb Attacks on British Troops

http://www.nytimes.com/2005/10/06/international/europe/06cnd-blair.html

LONDON, Oct. 6 - Prime Minister Tony Blair said today that Britain believed Iran had supplied insurgents in southern Iraq with technology used in lethal bombing attacks on British troops there. But, qualifying the accusation, he said Britain was not "sure of this at the present time."

Mr. Blair was speaking after discussions in London with the Iraqi president, Jalal Talabani.

On Wednesday, a senior British official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, was quoted as linking Iranian involvement in the supply of technology used in roadside bombs to Iran's dispute with Britain and other Western countries over its nuclear program.

In recent months, eight British soldiers have died in an surge of attacks in southern Iraq. "What is clear is that there has been new explosive devices used, not just against British troops, but elsewhere in Iraq," Mr. Blair told reporters.

"The particular nature of these devices lead us either to Iranian elements or to Hezbollah, because they are similar to the devices used by Hezbollah, which is funded and supported by Iran," he said referring to the Lebanon-based militant group backed by Syria and Iran.

"However, we cannot be sure of this at the present time," Mr. Blair said.

Pay no attention to those Brits wearing Arab headdresses and clothing, driving cars laden with explosives in Basra, killing policemen, being arrested and having tanks crash into the jail to get them out!

6. Our Armed Forces are stretched to the brink, no doubt about that.....
Why do they keep talking up war with Iran, if they have no intention of actually fighting them?

14. LOL..... I still can't believe he thinks god talks to him. WTF is up with
that? Isn't that a sign of mental illness? I don't understand, I guess, why he so intent to piss everyone off, it's almost as if he doing it on purpose. The other part I can't understand, is why Blair goes along like a little lap dog.

12. Poodle's got no "political capital"
but pretends he does, despite all evidence to the contrary. But I guess that offer to work at the Carlisle Group was mighty appealing and yet was more along the lines of a "conditional" offer to keep playing lines from the neo-con playbook. Disgusting.
