White House says Rove probe not a distraction

WHITE HOUSE -- The White House says it's not being distracted by an investigation of presidential aide Karl Rove.
Rove is making his fourth appearance before a grand jury investigating who leaked the name of a CIA operative.

When the probe started two years ago, the White House categorically denied any involvement by Rove. Now, such questions are answered with a "no comment."

Today, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the White House is aware of what's going on but at the same time, "we've got a lot of work to do and that's where we're focused."

6. Investigation? What investigation? Oh that? no sweat!
Lets not forget * lame comments when this all started about 'if it happened i want to know, and they'll be gone, blah blah blah' as if to say the president has no fricking clue, no frickin power to line em up and get the truth. In fact, he has no power, depends on KKKarl, Scotty, Meirs, Cheney, Scooter to tell him, teach him, show him, lead him, correct him, interpret for him. He is powerless. My scorn and loathing hath no limits...

8. "Do you see a probe around here? I don't see any probe. Was it a
large probe or a small probe? And why wasn't I told about it? I want to know if there is any probing is going on, particularly if it involves Karl." - Scott McClellan. WH Press Room 10/14/05

10. White House Says the Gannon Probe is the real distraction
Edited on Fri Oct-14-05 01:18 PM by SpiralHawk
In the BushCo Culture of Corruption.

I mean, you'd be nervous, too, if Enterprising Newspaper Reporters (ENP) were finally probing in how a Male Prostitute got access to the Bush White House over 200 times.

I wonder what Harriet Miers has to say about this?

16. Oh my god, did I misinterpret your subject line re: "Gannon Probe"
In my mental image, McClellan and Rove each had pouty looks on their faces, anticipating their next engagement with the Gannon Probe.

17. Therefore it is
Everything this administration does is backwards and upside down.

They're attacked by someone from Afghanistan so they invade Iraq.

They put polluters in charge of the environment.

Therefore if they say it's not a distraction, it must be.

18. Let's all get on the same page here boys ,
"<snip>

"It looks like a perfect storm," said Joseph E. diGenova, a Republican and former independent counsel, who noted that so many investigations can weigh on an administration. "People have no idea what happens when an investigation gets underway. It's debilitating. It's not just distracting. It's debilitating. It's like getting punched in the stomach."

25. Yep...like what the republicans did during the Clinton administration.
Except all Clinton did was try to keep a blow job a PRIVATE matter. That's NOT TREASON!!

Bush deserves to be distracted as hell. Maybe it will keep him from starting any more trouble for a while! (we can hope.)
