Dems, GOP exchange barbs on 'bad apples'
Dems, GOP exchange barbs on 'bad apples'
By Shaheen Samavati

Dayton Daily News

COLUMBUS | State Democrats plan to expose Ohio's Republican "bad apples" on a tour that begins today, but Republicans said Democrats should tend to their own orchard that's full of rotten fruit.

The tour to "put a face on the growing misconduct in Columbus" will make its first stop at 10 this morning at Clark State Community College in Springfield.

"For 16 years the Republicans have been in power. All we're left with is a jobless economy with very little growth and a lot of corruption and scandals, said Brian Rothenberg, spokesman for the Ohio Democratic Party. "And the only answer they can come up with is that they have a few bad apples who they won't name or do anything about."

The Ohio GOP has faced some highly publicized ethics scandals this year, from an investigation into Republican supporter and coin dealer Tom Noe's handling of $58 million in Bureau of Workers' Compensation funds to Gov. Bob Taft's ethics convictions.

1. The political parties on both sides are screwy and topsy turvy,
the Democratic party has become the "Silent Majority" and the Republicans have become, "Big Government".

All three branches of government are grievously flawed, while the lion's share of America sleeps like a contented cat.

3. there's an orchard of bad apples
with a few bad apples here and a few bad apples there, here a bad apple, there a bad apple...everywhere a few bad apples

I guess it's Johnny Appleseed's fault.

Rummy will be relieved to know it's not the cameras
and the world can now rest easier since we've discovered the real problem.

Damn tree planters and huggers!

(sarcasm - in case anyone had a brain fart)
