1. Everytime I read about more of our soldiers deaths I get so angry....
I feel like I am going to explode. I also feel helpless against the bush administration and the insane people behind it, who are responsible for all the deaths.

2. Seems getting that new constitution
was a huge success? Not.

Weren't things supposed to get better now that democracy is on the march and all the people got to vote again, even though they might have had no clue what they were voting for?

3. There are many protests scheduled around the country
when the death toll reaches 2,000. It looks like that may be today or tomorrow then. How incredibly sad. I guess I had better dust off my anti war sign and prepare to protest this damned war and our idiot president. 2,000 dead young men and women because of him. Find an event in your area to honor our heroes. They have given their lives for nothing.

4. When the MFing SOBs start to denigrate the troops' deaths by
comparing to "40,000 traffic deaths every year in the USA", fire back at them that the number of Americans who died in 911 was LESS THAN 3000.

LESS THAN 3000. And GEE, 40,000 Americans die every year in traffic accidents. Where's the War on Vehicles?

Then tell them to sign the f*ck up and go die for their f*cking bush-god's bullshit.

5. I think I will have to make a few new signs to carry!
You are so right. God help us. I feel so sad for their families too. No one ever talks about what it must be like to see the official military car pull up in front of your house....A mother in the kitchen making dinner or something...thinking about her son or daughter in Iraq...looking out the front window and seeing them walk up her sidewalk. God I hate Bush and all of those other evil people. Very sad day. *tears*

6. Every day brings out of the truth of the lies that junior, chency
and condi tells us about the wonderful success we're having in Iraq.

Halliburton & the Carlyle Group never had it so good. How many more buckets of blood are we gonna donate to their greed?

7. Nephew leaves for Marines today
The recruiters got him in high school and I couldn't talk him out of it. Such an otherwise bright kid who bought into the lies and thinks he is helping his country. These headlines just got more personal to me, and my disgust with the * cabal just deepened.

9. My son in laws nephew is leaving in January.
We tried everything to persuade him not to join the Army. We had no idea that for the past few years while he was in high school they had been working on him. By the time we found out it was too late. He is so brainwashed it is sickening. They told him he is not going to Iraq for sure! He believes every lie they tell him. He is 19 years old. He has a little job and is getting his college paid for by family. He says he wants to see the world. God help us. BTW When he took his Army physical he had very high blood pressure. They told him to go to his regular doctor and bring them proof of three normal blood pressure checks. He went three times and all of the results were that he has extremely high blood pressure. We thought they would not take him. We were wrong. They got his medical records which covered many years. They took an AVERAGE of his blood pressure readings over the years and said he had a normal blood pressure and signed him up. We are afraid he has something medically wrong with him that could cause his death during basic training. Why does a kid his age have high blood pressure?? We are terrified to lose him but they worked on him without our knowledge for two years and we are helpless now. God I am sorry for the rant. Blessings for your nephew. May he stay safe.

10. That's terrible
They took a lifetime average of his blood pressure readings???? Never mind, I'm not surprised. Both of these kids will probably end up guarding the tankers taking Cheney's unmetered black gold out of Iraq.

You know, it's weird. You feel the pain of those families who have lost their children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, NEPHEWS...but it really comes home when it is your own.

The House of Bush is crumbling and we can hope it comes down quickly and the lies and corruption exposed to even the Kool Aid drinkers.

Blessings for your son-in-law's nephew, too. May they both make it back safely and in one piece.

11. Thank you......
We are filled with sadness. We love him dearly. We know the truth about this war. I pray that you are right about the crumbling House of Bush. Maybe this week will bring some good news from Mr. Fitzgerald. We need all the help we can get to turn the tide. We will take anything at this point that will help to bring the truth out to the American people. I would not mind having family members in the military if under ordinary circumstances. But it is dangerous to be a soldier as long as Bush is in office. Thanks for your words of support. It means a lot.

16. No. He is a really tall, really skinny
pimply faced 19 year old kid. He looks just like the ones in the pics from Walter Reed Hospital with no arms and no legs. Prayers go out to your loved ones also. Thanks.

Please keep us up to date on his situation. I'll be thinking about him.

18. He may get mustered out in Basic Training. . .
or at least, that's the way it worked thirty years ago when I was inducted. There were quite a few people in barracks who had no business being there -- some with medical conditions, others with criminal records -- but they'd been brought in to fill a recruiter's quota and were let go within a few weeks with a "general" discharge so they wouldn't qualify for any benefits. I can't say it'll happen today (definitely a different mindset goin on, let alone a different kind of war and different recruiting tactics), but if he's fortunate that'll be what happens.

Hell, nobody needs to see the world that much, and if he must there's always the merchant marines.

13. 2000 by Tuesday
Is what I'm thinking. Have you noticed the increase in the numbers killed when the reports come in. I don't remember the exact number but last Sunday I think the count was 1954, the last I knew we were at 1996. Even my eigth grade math skills tell me that makes 42 dead in one week!
We surely can't be the only people noticing this, these bastards can't fall fast enough.

21. Rush Limbaugh avoided serving due to an anal cyst
Just tell the military you have a "Rush Limbaugh" up your ass. They'll understand.

My gut tells me we've already passed 2000 and are waiting for the reporting to catch up. The number means nothing, of course, but it does have a psycological impact.
