Poll: War in Iraq drains confidence in Bush
Oct. 28, 2003  - The war with Iraq is making many Americans less comfortable about President Bush's ability to handle the nation's other big problems, a poll says.

While Bush has rallied his overall job approval to the mid 50 percent range in several polls recently, the CNN-USA Today-Gallup results on public confidence suggested the delicate balance the president faces to keep public support.

In the latest poll, released Tuesday, 40 percent said the war in Iraq has made them less confident of Bush's ability to handle the country's other big problems, while 27 percent said it has made them more confident. Another third, 32 percent, said it hasn't made much difference in their opinions.

1. The Iraq war hasn't changed my opinon on his ablitiy.
I thought he was a useless fuck-up before the war, nad I feel the same way now. See...when you look at how these questions can be answered, if you are being completely truthful, it changes the entire scope.

4. I really wonder about polls
I really wonder about polls. Two days ago I was called (probably by the Republicans for some freak running for governor) and asked if I had time to answer 5 questions. Wanting to get my two cents in, I said yes. They asked me if I liked George Bush's policies. I said no, of course. The next question was strongly or somewhat strongly. When I answer strongly, the caller thanked me and hung up. My daughter was on a survey that was to call periodically. After the first two times, they never called again. Apparently they didn't like her answers either.
