Bush heckled as he sets out war on terror policies
Bush heckled as he sets out war on terror policies
28/10/2005 - 17:04:18

At a turbulent point in his presidency, US President Bush sought to bolster public backing for his war policies today, just days after the US death toll in Iraq surpassed 2,000.
(snip)

Bush spoke to an audience largely made up of uniformed service members, delivering a speech which was one of several he has given recently to defend his war policies and try to reassure a skittish country.

It was nearly the same as the one he delivered on Tuesday in Washington.

Outside the Norfolk convention hall, a small group of anti-war protesters greeted him by chanting “Bush lies.”
(snip/...)

6. What a relief to see there are people out there protesting!
Bush's regime has had the entire world scared silent, in fear of being labeled an enemy of the state, a terrorist-empathizer for speaking out against his policies.

Looks like his iron grip on the people has been broken, thank God.

Thanks for the link to the photos Stephanie posted.

3. "A small group of antiwar protesters" has my profound thanks for being...
...there and representing me and the great majority of Americans! Protest is our sacred duty in the face of massive government crimes. There are many forms of it. Personal witness is the best, the deepest, the one that has the most potential to resonate through the world, even if it is only one who stands out there in public, all alone, and speaks the truth, at the peril of ridicule, marginalization and bodily harm.

let him step in front of an audience that hasn't been preselected vis a vis loyalty oaths.
