Tehran ‘bounty’ for attack on Israel
IRAN has promised a reward of $10,000 (£5,600) to Islamic Jihad if the militant group launches rockets from the West Bank towards Tel Aviv, a senior Palestinian intelligence official said last week.

Speaking in his Ramallah office, the official produced a fat wad of $100 notes which he said had been confiscated from a pro-Iranian Islamic Jihad activist.

The money was said to have gone from Iran to Damascus, the Syrian capital, from where Ibrahim Shehadeh, Islamic Jihad’s head of overseas operations, transferred it to the West Bank.

According to the intelligence official, the Palestinian Authority has located workshops where “Al-Quds” (Jerusalem) rockets are being made and has given their co-ordinates to the Israelis. “We understand they destroyed some of them,” he said.

1. These guys must be on the Bush Crime Family payroll...
There seems to be no other plausible explanation.

2. Good thinking
Iran and Israel were the best of friends until Bush was elected.

3. No, but these Leaders are far from stupid ...

There must be something "really evil" they are attempting to freak out the MASSES with. Perhaps the leaders on both sides LOVE to play that FEAR angle? Perhaps throw out and dissolve a few thousand "cannon fodder" troops from both sides will leave more for the investor / non-combat class? That would be a win-win scenario for the ultra-wealthy and privileged ON BOTH SIDES of these conflicts?

4. This all seems incredibly convenient, doesn't it?
Don't ask me; I don't even know what I mean by that. I can't imagine that even the most rabid of the neocons seriously wants to whip up a war with Iran right now. Syria, now THAT'S another matter.

Are the Iranians just hitting us when we're weak? Much as I don't consider Israel to be the United States, most of the Muslim world does, and the neocons who run this government and their foot soldiers like Judith Miller CERTAINLY do.

I don't believe this is some kind of dastardly conspiracy, but crap, this is a messy time for this kind of thing to come up, isn't it? Maybe our enemies sense weakness and don't even want to bother letting us get more depleted and overextended as we undeniably will.

Maybe the unraveling is just going to be much faster than we think.

What a sucky mess these greedy bunglers have gotten us into.

5. I think it's just that
Iran just elected a new president and he's not as polished as the old one was. That's what happens when the more radical candidate wins.

6. I was really shocked when this guy won. I know a lot of
Iranians, they really don't seem like this AT ALL, and it has struck me from what I've read that people want reform.

???????

My friend Mo tells me it isn't a real democracy, the mullahs choose who will run. Even so I'm surprised.

7. I suggest
these tensions are a fabrication designed to condition the masses to accept peace. Solana has been successfully working toward that goal for some time now. I fully expect the Saudi/Jordanian/Syrian anti-terror alliance to become more prominent in the days ahead: a crackdown on Islamic extremists (or patsies) by Syrian and Saudi intelligence, a softening of Bush's stance toward Islam followed by an Arab summmit, culminating, as ever before, in Madrid. All the while Bolton assumes his role keeping tensions high at the UN. Of course, suicide bombings become more frequent as negotiations reach critical status bringing leverage for the Israeli position. Though they're cellar dwellers to the nth degree, i've a hard time believing the Rothchilds plan to allow Bush to destroy the earths surface. The land, infrastructure and manufacturing capability remain intact for the "master race" after a global pandemic; not so a nuclear exchange.

8. "from Iran to Damascus . . . to the West Bank." How very tidy.
One rival faction within the Palestinian leadership accuses another of an implausible Iranian-backed scheme -- one which, if true, is sure to do nothing but inflame tensions in the region, just as Bolton and Blair are pushing Iran sanctions at the UN -- and The Times of London prints this as undisputed fact?

Looks like the ToL and the NYT have a similar credibility problem.

9. Goody!
Kill the Jews! Who the fuck will care?! The right won't care as long as Jews are still in Jerusalem, and the left won't care....because...well, just look around.

KILL THE JEWS! Good thing...until we have to repent for it! Then, we will create a situation that it looks like the Jews had something to do with it, and blame them for it. I KNOW! After, the next slaughter, let's create a Jewish homeland...and have the UN declare it...but make the Jews...er...Zionists...responsible for its' creation! We have to have scapegoat number 2 in the waiting...

10. Doesn't Seem Like Much Money.....

What's a rocket go for these days? And then there's the risk.

10k is not much of an enticement is it? Particularly for a government like Iran to make.

How much do American mercinaries get per operation? Maybe if they pony up a bit more they can hire Blackwater, or whoever the thugs are the Bush Gang uses.
